what would cause a kia radiator to melt inside if theres coolant in the reservoir

engine light came on, car started screeching. checked to aid water but there was water in reservoir. light went out then came back on again.

this happened to a friend- I can only say that those Kia radiators must be cheap cheap pieces of plastic- buy a new one- or just get a new car- save yourself a lot of trouble- and make it Japanese, not Korean- or a new Fiat
