Check engine light

My check engine light came on and stayed on.
When I first start to drive car it sputters but when
warms up it stops.  It’s  Drinking gas all of a
sudden.

have the code read, most part stores are happy to do that at no charge. then you can move on with the diagnosis.

Could be a bad temp. sensor but autozone will read the codes and give you a readout on the probable cause
