09 BMW X5 transmission problems

Asked by Jennifer Nov 19, 2016 at 03:18 AM about the 2009 BMW X5 xDrive30i AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just bought an 09 BMW X5 xDrive30i with 74k
miles and had transmission problems a couple days
after purchasing.  After getting multiple opinions
from various shops it looks like it may need a new
transmission.  I'm getting quotes ranging from
$3500 to rebuild - $5600 for a reman build.

1.  Is the fix worth it?  Other option is to get rid of it
and take the loss.
2.  If its worth the fix, rebuild vs reman?

Suddenly I have no breakers in BMW X5 2009 SUV, after a while it works properly, what could be the problem, is it a frequent problem or something dangerous we should check?
