Why do all dik wad mechanics tighten things so tight you can't get anything loose without stripping a bolt

Some mechanics, not all mechanics don't always do the right thing. Tightening bolts too much is just a mechanic being lazy and not wanting to use a speed handle to give them a firm grip. Lot's of repair facilities employ C technicians for low pay so they just want to get things done as fast as possible and blasting bolts on with an air ratchet always does the trick. Find a mechanic that you get a good vibe from, let them know you are looking for a regular mechanic and ask them if they would like to apply for the position. A good mechanic will always say thank you for the opportunity to serve you. If they seem put off by your offer, the get back in the car and go somewhere else.

To get the bolts out of your oil pan, try spraying them with P B Blaster and letting it soak in.
