Grand Caravan 2009 -

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Van was idling little rough (not too bad) but then around 2000 rpm would get
jumpy/rough.  Changed coil pack and spark plugs.  Ran great for 2 weeks.
Wife came home one night and said it just started running rough (jumpy is
her word).  While it was still running I was looking around and all of a sudden
the radiator overflow started coming out.  Shut it off immediately.  Any
suggestions on what's going on?

Sounds as if your water pump or thermostat is no good casing the over heat. I would go ahead and change both, I would also do a good complete flush of the system and change the radiator cap as well.

I changed the thermostat but the radiator fan isn't running now. Gonna tackle that but didn't think of water pump. Do you think any of this would cause the vehicle to run rough? Both when running and idling? You can sit behind the wheel and feel it jumping
