Hit pot hole hard and oil pressure dropped to zero shortly after

Asked by Brandon Mar 31, 2017 at 04:26 AM about the 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTZ Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving on a rough country road and
hit a deep pot hole at around 70. After
about 5 minutes my oil pressure dropped
to zero and it recommended I turn my
truck of. I looked around and could find
leaks of any sort. Any input would be great
thanks!

Check the oil with the dipstick .. if you have oil and the engine sounds ok then you could have had the oil pressure sw connector come apart ,,, Safest thing is to have it towed and not to assume it's something simple
