2009 Chevrolet Silverado ltz

My truck started making a loud ticking
noise so I changed the oil and that didn't
change anything. I was told to use a
synthetic blend before then told I should
be using full synthetic so I switched. Then
my service stability track light came on and
traction control. It also has reduced power
and it sounds terrible. I am scared to drive
anywhere does anybody know what it
could be. Thank you! -Kayla

These are all unrelated problems except maybe the ticking due to oil. Personally I would stick with the oil you had ben using, A synthetic blend should be ok also. The reduced power has to do with the Throttle Position Sensor, or wiring harness, and the stability track light has to do with the ABS system. All easy to diagnose and fix. Just take into a shop for repair, and ask about an additive for the oil, just may be a sticky lifer.
