Replaced battery

Asked by Joe Dec 23, 2018 at 10:16 AM about the 2008 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

10K miles stored in climate controlled garage with trickle charge. Battery is
dead replaced with AGM Durolast from Auto Zone. When connecting ground,
all hell broke loose horn blasting, windshield washers spraying, tried pushing
reset on key fob then headlight washers came on. Any suggestions please.

You might have gotten the battery terminals reversed (polarity). Look real close. If they sold you the wrong battery, it may have the terminals in different pattern, tricking you into hooking it up wrong. Red cable is positive, and it goes to the larger, positive battery post.
