can you drive a suzuki grand vitara with the rear axles removed

i have a rumbling noise in the rear of the vehicle. dealer changed differential and wheel bearings. noise still there. they are now gooing to remove the rear axles and drive the car to see if the noise goes away. is this possible??? has anyone had this problem

the big 4x4 craze now and for the past few years is 4x4s based off of a front drive car,so if your 4x4 is like this then yes you can, just put it in 2wd. if its like a cj then you must keep it in 4wd .
