what is 'hotel switch' on console?

LOL! Must be a fancy BMW! My guess is that this is part of the Nav System (if the car has one) and that this switch helps locate hotels in the vicinity. Never heard of such a switch/button though.

Its a switch that locks the boot and stops it being opened so important items can be left in the trunk when left unnettended
