Your evap canister is bad. Replace canister then blow out all lines and clean out tank or your fuel pump will be toast shortly

Mechanic replaced the fuel pump, says he blew out the fuel lines and is going to replace the injectors. Car sat in the hot sun of Florida for 8 months. He says he isn't going to change the injectors when there is still charcoal coming fron somewhere. Does ghat sound right?

I wouldn't change injectors they should have been protected by the fuel filter. The charcoal is coming from the canister, replace canister, remove and clean fuel tank and lines including vent tubes replace fuel filter. Happy driving.
