Bmw 328i 2008 didn't move after stop

Hi everybody!
So I was driving my car and stopped for few
seconds to let pedestrians  cross the road, my
car was on drive , i let the brake pedal  off but the
car didn't move , check engine soon light came on.
It rolled to the side of the road, I put it on P, turned it
off, started it back on and it was fine. Does anybody
have an idea what that could be?

Your Transmission. That just happened to me. Definitely take it to a Certified BMW Mechanic cause it took 1 1/2 days to service my Tranny
