I have a 2008 Mini Cooper. The liftgate keeps opening by itself. What's the fix?

I have heard if the battery is weak in the copper it will at times send weird commands to items like doors and trunk locks to open as well as slow down the clock. I would run a battery test to make sure you are getting the correct voltage.

Recently replaced battery, so I don't think that's the problem. Is there a switch that the fob activates? Has Mini been known for this problem before?

It shows there is a miro switch for around 60.00 dollars, Might be defective.
