Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When i start my car on tick over the battery is being
charged at 12.4 and as i increace the rev's it climes
to 14.4v As soon as i reach 2250 rpm my alternator
stops charging then the voltage drops  and the
battery light comes on then voltage drops till the
car dies.
