whem my headlights and dash lights come on are my tail lights on as well?

your tail lights will come on when the headlights are on. however, if you are daytime driving the only headlights are the daytime running lights. your tail lights won;t come on with these.
mike is correct. Daytime, the dash lights can and should be on (full bright) and are not able to be dimmed. If the dusk sensor turns the lights on or you manually do so at the stalk switch, then taillights will be on but instrument cluster also but can be dimmed to nothing
