My charger has problems starting at times

Asked by jamieatho Dec 04, 2013 at 09:57 PM about the 2008 Dodge Charger SXT RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just got back from overseas and when i went to pick up my 2008 charger with less than 50,000 miles it would not start. the key would get stuck in the start position and would keep turning over without my hand on the key. the mechanic that was referred to me said everything was getting power. the fuel pump was not coming on. he replaced the pump and it cranked up fine. A week later i parked on a slant at a gas station and it started the same thing. it didn't crank till i rolled it back to flat ground and it started, but the engine light is on now

You have electronic start. Once you turn the key it attempts to start. You do not have to hold the key to start. I am assuming you were low on gas when you parked on the slant? The light is prolly a misfire code for it not starting correctly. Have you run a code scan?
