Does anyone know when the timing chain or belt on this model needs to be changed? Just purchased this car with 174K miles and not sure of it has been done.

Timing chains are usually good for the life of the car, The tensioner is far more likely to fail than a chain snap. Trying to find manual to see if it recommends changing it

My 2009 Hoinda-CRV with 92,000 miles just had the timing belt go. I had no idea that there were issues like this with this engine!

As noted by FordNut 6 years ago, CR-V from 2003 to 2016 has a timing chain, NOT a timing belt.
