where is the starter locatied on a 2008 hyundia elentra

It is located behind the battery, alongside the engine block. I have a 2007 and (the 2007-2010 are all the same) it was a little difficult to find. I can grab the owners manual and take a photo. Ill reply back in a moment.

I ran out and took a few photos, it is hard to see unless you get under the car. One photo is prospective and the other is directly above where you need to look.

Come on sixfootsix_car_guy , How you say is Behind the Battery ? Behind the battery is the Fuse box, Computer and Air filter Box, What kind help is That ? Better don't help.

The Starter is Under those parts and to see it well you need to get under car. Looking from the hood it must be under Brake oil Reservoir. The transmission is Under those parts I mentioned, so the starter will be on the left side of Transmission. in other way you can se the starter looking under the fuel rail or fuel injectors or under the throttle body. is behind the motor. If you jack up the front of the car and get down there you will see it over the Transmission axle . Good luck. ------ This is a real good Information.
