2008 Saab 9-3 key fob won't turn ignition switch.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced battery in key fob. Should battery in car be
charged?

1 Answer

...yes it should have 12.5 strong volts and be able to survive a "load test" where the load tester will subject your battery to a dead-short for three seconds and still have enough in it to start the car...then the charger is placed on it to see how long it takes to recover....a dead or dying battery will fail..the ability to recharge degrades 10% per year according to the experts~
