Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've had a 2008 Dodge caliber sxt for a year now. It has always sounded like a
RC car when accelerating. ONLY when accelerating. Doesn't make the sound in
neutral btw. I read posts that say this is a normal sound for cvt cars so I just
want to ask does anyone else's caliber sound like an rc car? Is this normal for
it? Or am I making a mistake ignoring this and thinking everything's fine?

that's probably the turbo you hear. I have a 1.8 t package in my vw and there is always a slight whining in it when accelerate

Potential transmission problem. Have a transmission shop check it.
