forgot to tighten cap on radiator

Overheated ...cranks up then 5 min in driving car shuts
off..waiting for it to cool now...will it be fine

If it did not overheat severely it will be fine. Good to go, but if it got really really hot, spit coolant out and ran low, there could be problems. You will have to wait and see what happens.
