Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My CEL is on steady and cruise control is flashing
in my 08 Subaru outback. Got the codes read and it
read P0240. I have read some stuff that makes this
seem like not a big deal to ignore (and more cost
effective), but I am not buying in on that totally.
What can you guys tell me about what it means
and is it urgent to get fixed?
