Air bag light

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 ford fusion and my air bag light is
on.  I have a code of 82290. I went to the Ford
dealership to see if they could look up the code
and give me the part that needs to be repaired.
They were not willing to do it without me paying.
Can someone tell me the part. I am a single mom
struggling.

B2290 code http://www.fixya.com/cars/t12417098- air_bag_light_code_b2290_occupant It’s ok to let it stay on. It will not hurt anything

They can't just look up a code number and tell you exactly what is wrong. There is some diagnostic time involved which they are entitled to be paid for.
