Took it to my local gmc dealer which I have been using for service They repaired transmission for 200 dollars and paid for week of rental car. My vue was 35 days past 5 year warranty. Am concerned about future repair Bills thinking about getting a good warranty or selling this vehicle any input as to which company has the best extended warranty would be helpful

GM SHOULD recall these engines! This has been on ongoing problem with the VUE line and the OUTLOOK line, for YEARS! But thy will not recall them. All over this forum and other Saturn forums I have researched so many people saying their transmissions died within the first 50-70k miles.... and they all seem to go shortly after the warranty expired- go figure.
