We have attempted to put a 4.7 in our 2000
Fakota. Motor mount problem.  Any one else done
this.

No, but I've seen 426 Hemi kits for Dakota's. I suspect you'd have to make custom motor mounts or try to use 1/2 of a "top" mount from the original motor to 1/2 of the original "bottom" frame mount. to mix & match. And or some welding might be required. Then there is the "location" forward or back problem & clearence to the radiator with the cooling fan.
