Trade value

Asked by msroo Apr 16, 2010 at 10:46 AM about the 2008 Porsche Cayenne Turbo AWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I am trying to trade my 2008 Porsche Cayenne turbo, basalt black with natural chestnut/black leather.  It
has 46k miles and is in pristine condition (all who have look at the vehicle agree).  Is $40k range a normal
trade-in value?  I want $64,500 for the vehicle.  If this is out of trade value range than I would like to sell
it myself.  Is $64,500 a fair value for private party sales.

According to nada and kbb my asking price (whether trade or retail) is still underpriced.  Can anyone tell
me what their experience has been.

Thanks.

according to the CarGurus price index: http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/Price-c8237-2008-Cayenne.html your car should be worth $68,798. My guess is you will have to sell it as a private party to get the true value. Dealers will heavily discount your car so they can make a profit on the sale.
