When i shift gears it's clunky, but it goes threw the gears smoothly and the fluid is new.

I recently changed the tranny fluid on my Mercury Grand Marquis and it is still clunky when i select the gear from park, but it doesn't happen all of the time.

There is a good chance that it's the transmission pressure control solenoid.
