dropped a gear on my truck

OK so I dropped a gear while running my truck it is
a 2002 Chevy Tahoe 2wd an I dropped a gear from
D to N an down when I put it on D it drives for a
minute or 2 an it's switches to like N but it stays on
D same with the R I don't know what's wrong .
