my truck sounds wierd

i can start my truck just fine and it revs and rpms stay normal but when i put it into drive
the rpms drop to 500 and below and it starts to wine

Check the transmission fluid. It may be low. Is there any oil residue under the truck in the area of the transmission? Does the truck drive normal or shift slowly? If the engine sounds good in neutral, but when putting it in gear, the whine starts, it could be the tranny.

tranny fluid is good, no leaks, it drive fine it just has a hard time
