Oil Pump On a 2002 Dodge Durango need to know location.

I have a 2002 Dodge Durango I have to replace the oll pump the engine  is 4.7. My dad is doing for me but has never work on a dodge before Please help he is a good mechanic just not on dodges.

what. dodges? drain the oil with the drainplug. there are perhaps 12-18 pan bolts holding the pan on with a gasket sandwich. Set them aside. Two bolts will hold the oil pump on, it's at the end of the piece with the screen on it. this design is the same with all American large blocks....dodge..ya. good one.

You have to drop the oil pan. Take off the timing cover. Undo the timing chains. To get to the oil pump. It's a pain. Went through this a couple of months ago.
