2005 explorer

My 2005 explorer will not go into Drive.
Reverse,3rd and lower gears catch, but not
drive. Do I need a new transmission?

No you don't need a new tranny . Scan for codes or take it to a mechanic that knows what their doing . I believe it's a simple fix .
