Trunk release messed up

We tried forcing a bike in the trunk of my 2007 Ford
500. The latch got a bit stuck and now to open it it
makes a terrible rumbeling sound. But opens.
When I shut it it will shut but my inside lights that
usually go off after a few minutes are staying on. I
suspect due to the trunk latch being screwy. Is
there any quick fix so it won't kill my battery? Help
