If I replace the air door actuator, will the air blow?

Asked by Nikki Jun 19, 2021 at 12:24 PM about the 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt LT Coupe FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After listening to the clicking for months in my 2007 Chevy Cobalt, the fan or
the blower quit working.  The A/C works, but it's not blowing.  Is this the fan or
the blower?  Can I replace the the air door actuator and will that fix the
problem?

The fan and blower are the same thing. Check the fuses, resister and the relay. You can also run power directly to the blower motor to check it.

Check the resistor block. It's a common failure point for GMs of that period. Hope that helps! Jim
