My 2006 Toyota Rav4 keys with FOB were run over. The FOB is broken, but the key still works and I have driven it. When I went to get a copy of the key, the locksmith could not make a copy of the computer chip. He mad a copy of the key that I had and that works also. Should I be concerned that at some point the key won't work or car will stop running with this key? 2 Answers

On Friday I came to my car and remote did not work, I manually had to open the door and engine did not start either. I called road side and they jump started the car, I went to apartment leasing office and again engine did not start. Called road side and they came and said it is not a battery problem. When I accelerated to pass a car, the VSC off, TRAC off, and Check Engine light all came on the same time. I know I need new shock absorbers, but why would the Check Engine light come on?
