Just put in a used motor in this qx56 .
Run pretty good seems to have a little
miss but the exhaust manifold is
glowing Bright red right at the collector.
Oh and speedometer doesn't work. Any
thoughts. I'm thinking cat plugged

That little miss is allowing unburned fuel to combust/burn in the exhaust manifold. I would bet a good tune up, especially new spark plugs, would eliminate that red glow. If not, then check the cat.
