My saab 93 aero is overheating

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After driving the car for awhile temp gauge starts to go up and will go in the red but if I put
on heaters to max it cools downs quite quickly have tested expansion vessel gases to
rule out head gasket is it water pump,rad,or thermostat any ideas

ok heaters are another radiator..so fans are working at rad.does it run cooler doing down the road at 50 mph.. check front fans

Came back from Weston super mare at weekend noticed overheating so put heater up to max cooled down quickly turned off heater and after a while temp started go up so ended up driving back with heater on max to keep temp down seemed to go up if driving slower or up hill
