Coolant or oil leaking out of my car?

Asked by Ashley Dec 30, 2015 at 08:04 PM about the 2003 Saab 9-3 Linear

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car is leaking some kind of liquid. It's clear on the driveway but when it is
on my finger it looks orangish. My car said it's low on coolant even though I
just had the car filled with coolant about three weeks ago. My car uses
synthetic oil. So my question is does this sound like oil or coolant and what
are the main causes of either leak in a saab? I had an oil leak before and it
was the vacuum pump which was replaced.

check the coolant , its antifreeze the orange type, oil would feel slippery when touched, you may have a leak in the radiator from a stone chip thru the grille

If it marks check coolant... Check coolant. Sound like a leak in radiaror as 7jimmy7 points..... Or a leak in a hose. Follow the leak visually with a lamp to find the leak..... If its a hose... Change it. If its radiator... You can eithee send it to fix.... Or buy a New one depends on model. In México we have radiator hospitals i dont know how you call those olaces.

Alghough im rather late responding, you have a coolant leak, possibly getting past a hose end clamp that over time flares creating a leak.
