Question type: General

Just picked up a 2006 Kia Rio w/ manual 5 speed transmission. At 65 mph my
RPMs are about 3300ish and the car sounds like it wants/needs to shift to
another gear - but this is in 5th, so no other gear is available. I've read that
small engines like this [1.6L] rev very high at high speeds. Does this sound
normal? Thanks in advance.

Unless the clutch is slipping this is normal.
