That is not the answer I got for resetting passlock on a 2003, it is turn key to just on one click, wait 10 minutes, than back off position for 5-10 seconds, than repeat for 3 times. That is one answer I got that didn't work for me, another is turn key wait until security light goes solid or off which mine is not on, than do the procedure above, go to off first after....than try and start... I'm at a loss other than to try to order this item and trick the entire system into thinking it's working ?? at dealer for big dollars,, I have one of my security guys coming over in the next few days as when we add after market we cut some of those wire and we have no problems with pass lock....???

that box is about 35 bucks on line for the gm plug in at key and the system think it is working if it is in the key ignition ....I have a plain key.. 2003 GMC 1500 SLE ext cab, which will not restart after a collision, but no lock on security light or even the light on constant. but does have a lock on one click of key.... I'm trying to figure out...

my 2003 doesn't run, even doing the right sequence for resetting the passlock.. Quick question, if my light is not on, but when the key is in one click the yellow car and lock is over the top locked, but goes off next click, it doesn't blink at all nor does it stay on constant. So I think I'm back to as I can't hear the fuel pump come on, no click...

GM really keep all this passlock stuff a secret for some insane reason, my Haynes book shows all 99-06 basically the same, but they do not cover passlock, which someone would come up with a book, and app so we could do this our selves... never had a bit of trouble with my 99 GMC wish I had keep it, seller remorse but it would of been hit rather than my 2003 which I have read has passlock resister in ignition but than another place referred to that as passlock II ,,, lots of confusing info out there.. thank you for all the help.. still trying to start or another tow to the body shops which will take it on tow to shop to fix that, all this is really stupid.. I don't get these places... body shop will not take a truck that will not start... strange... so it has to go get the other fixed first ... they also sub out the alignment,,, I hate my truck going to all these unknown people... I can't believe one shop can't do it all, must have something to do with having Farmers Insurance..
