You describe spark available, and suggest it is supplied to the cap. But is it? You can have the wire from the coil, the high tension lead, suffering from an "open". High voltage systems can pierce through resistances very well, but they cook what they are passing through. It is also safe to say that the cap and rotor are subject to your inspection because the spark does not come out. The wire set needs to be high end quality, and the correct A/C Delco spark plugs work best. Reducing resistances in the secondary ignition is the key to longevity in Parts money wisely spent. This should Help you complete your diagnosis.
