My rear brake light don't work.third brake does.I was told probably turn signal switch. I've checked everything else.should I just go and change this out? I have a 1994 chevy 1500

You mean the upper light is what you are calling the third light? What do the lower bulbs do exactly. Could just be bulbs perhaps. More info please. Bulbs work in front?

All bulbs are good and workinng.yes upper light on top of back window.fuses are good. Turn signals work flashers work, just no brake lights.

New bulbs are a cheap fix. First thing to try. Perhaps both sides on lower are defective. If the top light is working, it's most likely the bulbs. Note, I have had brake lite bulbs not work right from the parts store.
