OK, first you need to see if the compressor came with oil in it already, some do, some don't. There should be a tag on the compressor or on the box. For new installed components, the oil needs to be added as follows: 1.0 oz should be added to new condenser 3.0 oz should be added to new evaporator 3.5 oz should be added to new accumulator 2.0 oz should be added to new compressor unless otherwise stated by compressor manufacture The above listed information is from Alldata. I wanted to make sure you change the orfice tube as well, that is a must if you expect the a/c components to last at all. Also on another note. Once all lines are hooked up and oil has been added to compressor, manually spin the compressor clutch by hand about ten revolutions to disperse oil in compressor, Don't just turn on a/c with the engine running, or compressor damage is likely. The oil needs to be dispersed thru compressor slowly, if the clutch engages with the engine running, the oil in the compressor gets "compressed" the oil is on one vane of the compressor when you add it thru port but you cant compress a liquid so it damages compressor. Good luck and stay cool!!
