My 1990 Buick Century died while I was driving it now it won't even turn over or click or anything

I was driving in the dashboard needles all started
jumping back and forth in the light started
flickering on the dash and it stalled I started it up
right away drove another half-mile it did it again it
died and now it won't even turn over I turn the key
and it doesn't nothing like I don't even have a
battery hooked up

The battery may be dead due to the alternator not working. Have the battery and alternator checked.
