2006 Porsche Cayenne S locked gearbox

Asked by Zscayenne Nov 09, 2014 at 02:53 AM about the 2006 Porsche Cayenne S AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The gearbox in my 2006 Cayenne S doesn't shift to reverse. It drives forward on all
shifting position except park. Neutral and Reverse Will make car go forward. It is locked
on low gear when it drives forward.
Anyone has any idea about this. Thanks

Check your transmission fluid level. Be sure that you use the proper transmission fluid if it's low.

I would try a transmission flush, new filter and fluid. This can be done at home if you are reasonably competent DIY mechanic. If you have access to a Durametric, try and see if there are any transmission fault codes.
