2007 Pontiac Grand Prix - won't start--no clicking, nothing lighting up. However, off and on the radio lights will come on, will beep like key left in ignition, but when I try to start, nothing?

If vehicle is an automatic try putting in neutral and try to start if that does not work have someone try starting vehicle and tap on starter with hammer and see if vehicle starts. If vehicle starts replace starter.
