Do you mean your rear brake lights or the indicator light in your instrument panel? I will assume it is the dash light. It is probably illuminating due to low brake fluid level. Check the level in the reservoir and fill as required.

Possibly your pedal switch has come loose or is going bad. Do all 3 brake lights come on and go off together? Sorry I guessed wrong for the first answer.

Yes .... all 3 brake lights come on.... also cruise control goes off automatically without stepping on brake

I'll bet that your brake lights come on when your cruise dies. Probably the same circuit and it indicates your switch is probably loose. It is usually positioned around the brake pedal linkage.

No it is the connection on the computer on the passenger floor..... It happens to alot of g6s... Pull the plug and put diaelectric grease on it and it should work.. Do it over and over for a few days and it should finally stop. Its not the positioning sensor i changed mine 3 times before i found out what the real problem is
