Question type: Maintenance & Repair

the security light blinks and then stays on after it finally does turn on.

Where would I go to get this fixed? anything I could do to save the buck?

Hi Chris and Thank You for your service! You probably can't avoid the dealer on this one. I'm guessing that there's a break in the wire at the ignition lock cylinder. You are going to need a dealer to handle that repair in all likelihood (if that is indeed the issue). You should have it towed there. The security system involved several other systems and needs to be handled by someone who knows what they are doing. There really is no way for an owner to disable it in the field. Good luck!
