I was on my way to work last night and my 94
camaro Z28 was running fine then all of a sudden
it started making like a loud knocking noise and
the whole car shaking and when I stepped on the
gas it stuttered and didn't want to go like the gas
pedal was giving in then catching itself

I did all that and it seemed like the knocking was coming from the drivers side in the back of the motor. It's sitting at the mechanic shop right now. If I stepped on the gas when I had it running it would backfire and stutter. I appreciate the help.
