I have a 2007 cadillac dts and the catalytic converter was stolen and I replaced it, now my check engine light won't go off, I reset the computer and after about 5 hrs of driving it comes back on.

you did the work yourself? you connected the sensor? was anything damaged when they cut it off?- the light may have to be reset-
