Cadillac Dts 2007 check engine light goes off after reset but will not stay off,

The check light is on dropped the car off to be fixed and inspected. idk
what the code is but i was told that it was the Infuriated(??) Air system, had
it fixed and light reset but when the car was shut off and started again the
light came back on this process has been done a few times and the light
will not stay off, what could the problem be? And they will not pass the car
for inspection unless the light goes off and stay's off, plz Help??

Appears as if it Wasn't fixed.. take it back! what codes are stored. simple emissions issue.
the code that i was told is P2240, that's all i was told

Simple fix upstream HEGO (heated exhaust gas oxygen) sensor. Have it changed $125 done go pass emissions.
They won't pass it for inspection just because the light is on. not that it won't pass emissions,that part will pass, It's really a matter of finding or figuring out why the light will not stay off,and i guess for what was said to me that was the only code that came up. idk Thank you for all your Help, i will give this info to the Mechanic and maybe he can get this fixed, He did say that he tried just about everything he knows so we'll see Thank You
I had the dreaded PO4020 code on my Cadillac DTS,and my 02 Sensors were fine,but I was told that I needed a new Catalytic converter. To be honest I have an after market exhaust (Magnaflow),so I had a Magnaflow catalytic converter installed. Four days later my check engine light came on again with the same dreaded PO4020 code.My filter was clean,new cat,02's,plugs,etc.,are all fine. I was told that DTS's need a software update,and if its not done you'll get false codes,and also have a very difficult time erasing codes after a service. I plan on calling Cadillac to inquire about any software updates.
